Workshop Carpenter & Fabricator

JPJ Audio is one of Australia's leading professional audioproduction companies, supplying world-class sound systems to concerts,festivals, theatre productions, television and corporate events acrossAustralia.

We're looking for a practical, hands-on person who enjoysbuilding, repairing and improving things. This is a workshop-based role whereyou'll manufacture, repair and modify the casing and infrastructure that keepsmajor productions moving.

From building custom road cases and equipment racks torepairing loudspeaker enclosures and improving our warehouse, no two days arethe same.

The Role

You'll be responsible for:

• Repairing and rebuilding touring road cases.
• Repairing timber loudspeaker enclosures.
• Building custom equipment racks, cases and touring infrastructure.
• Designing and constructing storage solutions and workshop improvements.
• General workshop and warehouse maintenance.
• Installing hardware including castors, catches, handles and protective fittings.
• Operating woodworking machinery and power tools safely.
• Working with our Operations and Engineering teams to design practical solutions.
• Helping improve workshop efficiency and warehouse functionality.

About You

You may come from a variety of trade backgrounds including:

• Cabinet Making
• Tour or theatre carpentry
• Joinery
• Carpentry
• Shopfitting
• Furniture Making
• Exhibition or Set Building
• Maintenance Trades
• General Fabrication

What matters most is that you:

• Have excellent woodworking and fabrication skills.
• Produce high-quality work with attention to detail.
• Enjoy solving practical problems.
• Are confident using woodworking machinery and power tools.
• Can work independently while contributing to a team.
• Take pride in building things that last.
