Payroll Officer

• Based in Homebush West

• Part-time – 3 days per week (Wednesday to Friday)

The Role:

One of Australia's leading audio production companies is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our Finance team, based in Homebush West.

We’re seeking a detail-oriented professional with strong organisational skills and a focus on accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate processing of payroll, superannuation, and payroll tax in line with legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements.

• Ensure accuracy of payroll records by maintaining database with updates & changes.

• Maintain employee records for new hires, pay changes, and terminations.

• Review timesheets and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.

• Calculating workers compensation, parental, long service, annual and sick leaves.

• Lodge & process superannuation contributions and state payroll tax.

• Prepare end-of-month reporting.

• Communicate with stakeholders to ensure smooth payroll process and operations.

• Supporting audits and financial planning process.

• Provide general administrative and ad-hoc support to the finance team.

Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience managing end-to-end payroll functions.

• Strong understanding and working knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, Industry awards, and HR processes.

• Experience in Payroll Processing, superannuation lodgements, and payroll tax lodgements.

• Experience in workers' compensation lodgements.

• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

• Experience with Employment Hero (preferred but not essential).
